HUSTON, DOROTHY L. born August 11, 1924 passed away on 11/10/04. Dorothy was born and grew up around Orleans, Alma and Republican City, Nebraska. After graduating from Republican City High School in 1944, she came to California. In 1948 she moved into the Torrance area. She worked at Harbor General Hospital for 18 and one-half years. She raised two sons while her husband, Sam, remained in the Navy for 22 years of service. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers, four sisters, one sister-in-law, one son and one grandson. She is survived by her husband of 52 and one-half years, Sam, son Rusty, granddaughter Carrie Jacobs, Aunt Bea Rader, one sister-in-law, four nephews and six nieces and oodles of cousins in California and Nebraska. Visitation will be at WHITE & DAY COLONIAL MORTUARY, 901 W. Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277 on Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 from 4PM to 8PM. Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at 9:30 AM at RICE MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. (Please note...Dorothy's visitation on MONDAY is at the White & Day location and her service on TUESDAY is at the Rice Mortuary location...four blocks to the east, also on Torrance Blvd., in Torrance) Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery in the afternoon of the same day (Tuesday) at 1:00 PM.
