  1. Our Prayers & Thoughts are with you. Wish we could attend, but unable to. She was a blessing and a joy in our lives. Love Laurie & Mike

  2. My prayers are with your family. Mrs. DeYoung was such a part of my growing up on the block. She also taught my son a few times when he was in kindergarten.

  3. Dear Dan and family. My deepest sympathy on the death of your dear wife and mother. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. Frigga

  4. Dan , we are sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. Dorthy and yourself were a large part of my childhoood. The houseboat trips were an experience I would never have had were it not for the two of you. The adventures I enjoied with the De Young family will be with me forever.

  5. It is very difficult to think of a time without “Mrs. DeYoung.” She was such a huge part of my life growing up. I enjoyed many hours at your house and will remember her as being so cheerful and happy. The video tribute was wonderful. Particularly touching was the picture of her and Smokey. I can’t think of her without thinking of Smokey too. I will always think of her as my “second mom.” She will be missed, but will remain in my heart forever. My thoughts are with you and your family.
