Dina Eduvina Rios Castillo

Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Dina Eduvina Rios Castillo, conocida por muchos cariñosamente como Dina. Dina nació el 12 de mayo de 1957 en Contepeque, Atescatempa, Guatemala. Falleció pacíficamente en su hogar en Los Ángeles, California el 25 de enero de 2023, rodeada por su querida familia.

Dina se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1990 y fue aquí donde conoció a su esposo, Bernardo Torres. A pesar de las adversidades al llegar a los Estados Unidos, Dina logró proporcionar una vida cómoda para sus hijos a través de su espíritu emprendedor y lucha constante. Ella tuvo la oportunidad de ayudar a su familia a emigrar a los Estados Unidos y muchos de ellos han tenido éxito gracias en gran parte a su ayuda y orientación inicial.

Dina era conocida por ser una mujer fuerte e independiente que nunca se rendía, un rasgo que era evidente incluso en sus últimos días. Ella siempre estuvo allí para sus hijos y amistades.

Dina fue una figura materna y ejemplo a seguir para sus hermanos, y alguien en quien podían confiar. Ella fue un apoyo incondicional, y siempre hizo todo lo posible para salir adelante.

Dina deja en su partida a su esposo, Bernardo, y sus hijos Mauricio, Joel, Michael, Junior y Michelle. También deja a sus hermanos Paca, Emilia, Ore, Humberto, Beris, Ada, Tato, Sirmy y Luis. Dina fue precedida en su partida por sus padres Emiliano Rios Marroquin y Adela Castillo Aguilar.

En homenaje a su vida y legado, un velorio se llevará a cabo el día martes 7 de febrero de 2023 de 4pm a 7pm. El servicio conmemorativo se llevará a cabo el 8 de febrero de 2023 de 10:30am a 2pm, seguido de el entierro a las 3pm.

Dina será profundamente extrañada por su familia y amigos. Que descanse en paz.

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Dina Eduvina Rios Castillo, known affectionately to many as Dina. Dina was born on May 12, 1957 in Contepeque, Atescatempa, Guatemala. She passed away peacefully at her home in Los Angeles, California on January 25, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family.

Dina moved to the United States in 1990 and it was here that she met her husband, Bernardo Torres. Despite the challenges of arriving in the United States, Dina was able to provide a comfortable life for her children through her entrepreneurial spirit and constant struggle. She had the opportunity to help her family immigrate to the United States and many of them have been successful thanks in large part to her initial help and guidance.

Dina was known for being a strong and independent woman who never gave up, a trait that was evident even in her final days. She was always there for her children and friends. Dina was a maternal figure and role model for her brothers and sisters, and someone they could rely on. She was an unconditional support, and always did everything possible to get ahead.

Dina leaves behind her husband, Bernardo, and her children Mauricio, Joel, Michael, Junior and Michelle. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Paca, Emilia, Ore, Humberto, Beris, Ada, Tato, Sirmy and Luis. Dina was preceded in death by her parents Emiliano Rios Marroquin and Adela Castillo Aguilar.

In honor of her life and legacy, a viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. The memorial service will be held on February 8, 2023 from 10:30am to 2pm, followed by the burial at 3pm.

Dina will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
