  1. My dear, sweet Derek, This month that would’ve been your 21st birthday, I would give anything to have celebrated with you and there are no words to describe how painful this year has been without you and how much you are missed and loved. You can never be replaced in my heart/life, as you were just too beautiful for this world! I feel I was lucky to have had you with me on this earth as brief as it was. You are always, and always will be, with me! “Love you bunches”, Mom

  2. Dear Mullin Family, Our hearts go out to you in your time of loss. May God’s peace and serenity be with you now and always.

  3. Derek was an amazing individual. He always made me laugh when I thought I couldn’t laugh, and he was always there to cheer me up when I needed it. His nickname to me was Deriliche from the movie Zoolander. I remember our fun San Diego trips with me,Mike, and Derek. We said we would keep it a tradition with the three of us. I am so thankful I was able to be blessed with Derek’s friendship. There is so much I have learned from him, and I will miss him dearly. RIP dearest friend, you live on in our hearts.

  4. Dear Mullin family, I met Derek this past year when he came to work at Annie’s florist. He was always hard working ,had a great attitude and sense of humor. He was a very fine young man. I know all of us will miss him. My sincerest sympathy, Lisa Kopenehefer

  5. I want to express my deepest sympathy to Derek’s family. I’ve known him for years as a friend of my son Ryan’s. Derek always made me laugh and brought joy to my day every single time I saw him. It is a true pleasure to have known him. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

  6. I didn’t know Derek as well as i wanted too. I know him because we grew up together in the same school we never said much to each other, for some reason i was shock to hear of his death. he is part of my history as well as everyone else that was at least touch by him will miss him as much as i do.
