  1. dennis was born in del norte colorado third child of five to dwight haskell and lina richardson. he grew up in several local towns, del norte, la jara, and montevista. he gradusted from monte vista high then ventured to denver colorado to attend college at boulder university. he spent a year there then returned home where he enlisted in the natioal gaurd. he was then assigned to the us army and deployed to south korea to fight in the korean war. he was trained in explosives and demolitions. he was honorable discharged with rank of sfc. upon return to states he moved to southern ca where he began his college studies at el camino and finihed at ca state university long beach. he began a 35 yr teaching career at white middle school taching industral arts and history. he married lydia kay neal and had 4 children john, james, joseph, and jenese who all survive him along with 7 grandchildren. he was agifted woodworker loving to hand carve scale model world war ii airplanes which he sold or gave away to family and friends. he was active in the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints. he was always happy and made friends easily.
