Delmer E. Denny (Del) passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2006. He was born August 8, 1924 on an Indian reservation in Montana. Del was 82 when he passed. Del was a veteran of WWII where he served for 3 years as a B24 airplane mechanic. After the war he worked at Lockheed and attended Pasadena City College. He lived in the Pasadena area for 47 years. He was a member of the Odd-Fellows Lodge for over 50 years. Del retired from his job as a commercial air conditioning salesman in 1986. He worked as a crossing guard in Hawthorne for 8 years. He currently worked for Manhattan Beach as a crossing guard for 81/2 years. Del was a great man. He made all his own shirts and sewed for many friends. He made beautiful stained glass art pieces and was an amazing wood carver and did wonderful chair caning.
Del is survived by his loving wife Pat with whom he shared his love of animals and traveling around the world for the last 30 years. Del is also survived by a son John (Marianne) of Lee Vining, Ca. and son Matthew of Altadena. Grandchildren: Shannon of Auburn, Ca., Jody of Santa Barbara and Tyler of Altadena. Great-grandchildren Christopher, Tiffany, Travis and Cassandra.
