Memories Timeline

  1. Deborah and I went to grade school and high school together. We were in Girl Scouts and on the track team. I remember Deborah as being very athletic and fun to be with while participating in sports. Much later, she connected with my sister Carole in the Nichirin Shoshu Buddhist organization. Just tonight, my high school friends Connie Smith, Michelle Scrooc, Nicki Nielsen and Barbara Wilson and I were reminiscing about Deborah. My prayers are with Deborah and condolences for her family.

  2. I met Deborah at Parkway Elementary. I don’t remember what grade we met in, but I do remember us playing Mexican dodge ball together at recess and she was a good player. I also remember being with her in girl scouts and being on the track team with her at South High. She was the sprinter while I ran distance. At our 30 year reunion there was a photo taken of Deborah and me flexing our biceps in fun to see which of us was more “buff”. I will always remember her as high spirited and someone who spoke her mind. I was shocked and saddened to hear that Deborah left us so soon.
