I have very found memories of Brother David Gunning during my college years:)

  2. My heartfelt condolences to the Gunning Family. Lieutenant Gunning was my Watch Commander in Communications Division in the mid 90’s. He was truly a wise and remarkable man, mentor, leader and friend. He served the City of Los Angeles, its citizens and the Department with intention, professionalism and grace. To God be the glory for the life of Lt. Gunning, who now dwells in a place far greater than this. 🙏🏾

Blessings upon blessings to the Gunning Family.

  3. candle 7I remember Lt. Gunning very well. As a new and very anxious PSR, his words of encouragement, warm and welcoming smile were oftentimes just enough to get me through the toughest days of training. One never truly knows the positive impact you can have in someone’s life. Lt. Gunning naturally and effortlessly had that ability. Now 27 years later and just shy of retirement, I will forever be grateful. Sweet rest in heaven Lt., you are peacefully end of watch. My deepest condolences to the Gunning family. My prayers of peace and solace are with you all.

    PSR Cheryl Gaston-Evans

  4. My deepest sympathies to the Gunning (Pugh) family. David was such a kind and gentle man. I always loved how he treated his family. Gloria, may God grant you peace and sweet memories. While, I can’t be there; you and the family will be in my heart and prayers during this season of bereavement.

  5. candle 7Our sincere condolences to David’s wife, children, and family. We have fond memories of David’s kindness, generosity, and welcoming nature. It was obvious that he cared for his children and grandchildren dearly. He will always be remembered as a loving farther in law to my sister and a loving grandad to my nieces and nephews.

  6. I am saddened by this – not having heard until well after the period I could have paid personal condolences. Dave was a friend of mine on and off the job. May he rest in peace.
