  1. One of my ‘big boys’ heroes when growing up…….. always an amazingly, subtle sense of humour ……. only great memories.

    ‘Lil Peter’

  2. My deepest sympathies to you all…we will remember David with a smile…the best years any one could want, growing up on a beach in the West Indies.

  3. I will always remember David for his kindness, his humour and for just being a wonderful human being. I have many positive memories of our times working together at Air Canada in the late 60s/early 70s. Rest In Peace, dear friend.

  4. It is so difficult to come to grips with David’s passing, has this really happened?
    I will always treasure his sense of humour, his dignity in bearing his medical conditions without complaint, his swimming and water polo ability, and most of all his friendship.
    Every time Chris and I swim past Burke’s beach we know he is with us, laughing and sprinting ahead.
    Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Lilibet and their Children and Grands, and to all his family.
    Until we meet again, D.
    Angus and Patricia Edghill

  5. David was a special person with a happy disposition, wonderful sense of humour and an endearing bit of mischievousness about him. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. May he rest in peace

  6. We can shed our tears because he is gone;
    Or we can smile because he was such a big part of our lives,
    We can close our eyes and pray that he will come back,
    Or we can open our eyes and remember all that he has left for us,
    We can feel that our hearts are empty because we cannot see him,
    Or we can feel our hearts full of the love he shared……

    Lilibet, Susan, Sandra and family, our hearts are heavy as we share in your loss. May the Lord and the strength of family and friends bring you comfort. Tony and I send our warm embraces. Love to all,
    Renee & Tony McKenzie
