Danielle Taska Xanthis Born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia on 3/31/1959 to Jan and Marcela Tasky; Danielle departed this world on 1/12/2012 due to complications from cancer. Danielle left her family and all she knew to escape communist Czechoslovakia and start a new life for herself and her future family here in the United States. In Czechoslovakia she was educated for a career in the hospitality industry, here in America she studied accounting and made that her career. Danielle touched many lives along her life's journey. Danielle always had a smile regardless of how she was feeling; she was the embodiment of true optimism. She will be remembered for her love of life, her kindness, generosity and courage. Danielle is survived by her husband Tony; her sons Daniel and Nicolas; her sister Evzenia; nieces Henka and Maca and grandniece Evelien. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday January 21, 2012 at Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance, California with a celebration of her life to follow at Zina's bar and restaurant located at 4525 Calle Mayor in Torrance, California.

  1. Tony, Danny and Nick, We are so very sorry to learn of the passing of your wife and mom. Danielle was great. Quick with a smile. She had a great story and will be missed by all those that were lucky enough to have crossed paths with her.   6. I never got to know her very well. But I remember meeting her a few times back in high school, she was such a beautiful woman inside and out. She had this kindness and accepting nature about her. I am very sorry to her family for having to suffer such a great loss at this time, but am grateful that she no longer has to suffer. She must have been quite an amazing lady because she raised such a sweet and wonderful son that I am lucky to call my friend. I pray comfort for the family and blessing to her.
