Daniel
Chipi, Daniel Ramon a 25 year resident of Lawndale passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2003 in Lawndale. Born in Torrance, CA, Daniel was 25. Danny had worked for United Airlines for over seven years. He is survived by his wife Sharlane Chipi of Lawndale; daughter Laila Chipi of Lawndale; parents Jose and Pura Chipi of Hawthorne; sisters Michelle (Hardy) Mosley of Hawthorne, and Marta (Julio) Vergara of Colorado; along with his grandmother Margarita Benitez of Hawthorne and his two nephews, Cody and Nicholas Vergara of Colorado. He will also be deeply missed by his many close friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 6, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at White and Day's Manhattan Mortuary, 3215 Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach with Vigil Services beginning at 7:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, March 7, at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11901 Acacia Avenue in Hawthorne.

  1. Me and Danny grew up together we have lived across the street from each other until danny moved out. Danny is loved by me and my family and will be deeply missed!

  2. Danny was a very close friend of mine for over 5 years along with Shar and now Laila. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss him with all my heart, I just wish I could have said good-bye. All my love goes out to Shar and Danny\’s family. We will miss you always!

  6. What I will remember most about \’Chipi\’ are the years we both worked at Shuttle gates and all the times Chipi and his crew would come up the jetway to help us out or just to say hi. To the family, you are in my thoughts.
