Hammontree, Daniel Charles, a 1 year resident of Hawthorne, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006. Born in Cinncinnatti, Ohio, Daniel was 56 when he died. Daniel was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was involved with Airline Catering for 30 years, starting with National Airlines, Dobbs House, GGI, and won many awards. His interest included sports: baseball and Miami Dolphins football, the Bible, History, Conversation, and Teaching. He enjoyed Riding and Repairing Motorcycles, Strategy Games, Volunteering, Teaching ESL Spanish and English, and Teaching at Church. Daniel's passions were God, the Bible, Jesus, History, Bible History, and Peace Studies. He is survived by his Wife, Guadalupe Hammontree of Hawthorne, CA; Son, Daniel Hammontree of Miami, FL; Daughter, Teresa Hammontree of Miami, FL; Daughter, Michelle Hammontree of Miami, FL; Daughter, Bridget Molina of Seattle, WA; Son, Joaquin Hammontree; Daughter, Juanita Hammontree of Houston, TX; Daughter, Jessica Hammontree of Miami, FL; Step-Son, Jesus (Joselyn) Prechtel of Los Angeles, CA; Step-Son, Harley Prechtel of Los Angeles, CA; Step-Son, Richard DePaula of Irvine, CA; Step-Son, Richmond DePaula of San Bernardino, CA; Brother Gregory Paul Hammontree; Brother, Tom Hammontree of Miami, FL; Brother, John Hammontree of Miami, FL; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, John Hammontree, and Mother, Mary Hammontree. A gathering of family & friends will be held at McCormick Morturay in Inglewood on Wednesday August 16, 2006 from 10am until 2pm. The Service will begin at 11am. A Graveside Service will be held at Inglewood Park Cemetery on Thursday August 17, 2006 at 3:30pm, followed by a Reception at McCormick Mortuary in Inglewood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guadalupe Hammontree.
