  1. Turner family, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with the loss of your beloved daughter, sister and mother. May memories of better days comfort you through this time. Dani will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her!

  2. My earliest memories of Dani go back to when we were kids, we were your house in East LA I believe .. Dani & Irene kept playing “Are You Ready” by Barbara Mason over and over – still bothers me to hear that song. Later, after you guys moved to Athens I remember Dani falling like every other girl for the Jackson 5, think it was Jermaine she had a crush on .. started developing her mischievous laugh then .. gone but never forgotten .. my heart is with you all Aunt Betty, Uncle Red and Ronnie and for her boys .. love you .. michael

  3. Dani was and will always be a beautiful angel watching over her loved ones. I so enjoyed sitting and talking to her at Cerritos Track meet a year of so ago. She and I shared openly about life, (especially sharing funny stories about our dad’s and being a parent) and the will to dance and live life to the fullest no matter the obstacles. I used to baby sit that little girl so many years ago. Family, you will see your baby girl again.

  4. We were introduced to Dani a few years ago by her wonderful parents, who are friends of ours through the jazz scene. We adore Betty and Red so very much and in times like these, the words do not flow comfortably. However, this video speaks mounds for those of you who lived and loved Danette McDowelll, “Dani” as she was so lovingly called and I am glad to have been given the opportunity to view it and get to know her. We want to extend our heartfelt love to Red and Betty and know that you will always be in our hearts. We pray God will protect you and comfort you during this emotional time in your life. We love you.

  5. Dear McDowell Family,

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Although, I don’t know your family personally, I surely empathize with what you may be feeling; as I have also lost loved ones in death. Thankfully, our Creator, has lovingly provided a means for us to see our dead loved ones live again and cope with our pain the meantime. The scriptures tell us at John 5:28,29, “Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear my voice and come out.” Isn’t that a comforting promise? Other scriptures point to this happening in the very near future. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Take care.
