Dale Alan Kitchen

Dale passed away after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by Laura, his wife of 41 years, and his son, Jon.

Dale was born in Wichita, Kansas to Maynard and Lauretta Kitchen. He graduated Southeast Wichita High School in 1962 and Wichita State University in 1967. He made his way to Southern California and worked in aerospace at Rockwell and McDonnell Douglas. He retired from Boeing in 1999.

Dale was an athlete that enjoyed many sports, including beach volleyball, golf, water and snow skiing, and running. He completed several marathons, including NYC and PV. He and Laura ran many local 10Ks together.

Dale could tackle and complete any DIY project. He passed his love of tools, tinkering, cars and motor vehicles on to Jon. Together they spent time in the house or garage working on countless projects.

Dale is survived by his sister, Judy Phipps in Wichita, nephews Mike, David (Carla) and many nieces and nephews. And his beloved feline, Tess.

Rest in Peace, big guy. You will be missed.
