Clara Voce, 1929 - 2019 Clara Voce died peacefully in her Rancho Palos Verdes home on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at approximately 8:05 pm. She was 89 years old. Born Calogera Rose Voce on August 1, 1929 to Salvatore and Josephine Nigro in Cleveland, Ohio, she was known by all as Clara. She was the youngest of three siblings - Anthony and Dorothy. As a young woman, she attended the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied classical piano. She was choir director and organist for Maria Regina Catholic church in Gardena, California, organist for St. Barbara Catholic church in Santa Ana, California, and choir director and pianist for various choral groups throughout the South Bay. Clara had two children Christopher (deceased) and Susan from her first marriage. She married Alfredo Voce in May1956 and had four children, Maurice, Bianca, Mary-Angela, and Matthew. She moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1961and settled in Rancho Palos Verdes. Clara was a paralegal professional and had many interests leading her to own and operate two businesses. Clara is survived by her children and grandchildren, Kyle, Lauren, Max, and Alison.
