Charles Owen Reis October 8, 1921 – May 27, 2008 Life-long Torrance & City of LA resident, Charles Reis, passed away on Tuesday May 27th at age 86. He was taken to Harbor General Hospital after being struck by a car while walking to the Torrance Farmer's Market. Services will be at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance. Rosary at 7 pm on Wednesday June 4th and funeral mass at 10 am Thursday June 5th. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach. Reception immediately following at Nativity Annex. Charles was a devout Catholic, devoted family man, and brilliant electrical engineer. He enjoyed bicycling, hiking, and was a trolley and train aficionado. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Reis of Torrance, CA, daughter Rose Reis-Jackson, son-in-law James Jackson, granddaughter Ryan Aurora Jackson of St. Paul, MN, and son Gregory Reis of Lee Vining, CA.
