  7. To the Belda family: I have known Gary since I joined CAP in the early 70\’s. I wish to express my deepest simpathy to you for your loss, which is also my loss. I developed a lot of respect for Gary through the years I knew him. I considered him a brother, who would always go that extra mile to help someone, which is seldom seen in our society. I also volunteer for the LASD and had a chance to talk to him a couple of months ago as I was leaving the Lomita Station and he was coming in for a meeting.Little did I know that would be the last time I saw him.I will keep him in my prayers. He was a great example.

  8. I\’ve heard about Gary for years in the Amateur radio community. I finally met him back around 1996. He\’d convinced me to get a job at a local two-way radio shop. I always heard good things about him. Sorry I\’m late with the memorial, I just heard about it. Jeff
