  1. Charles and I were good friends in high school. My happiest time with Charles was the day he and I became “born again” Christians. Christianity became crystal clear and it was a joyous occasion. In 1985 during my first year of evening classes at college, I would stop into Charles’ and Karen’s night club for a beer after class. He was a wonderful person, as was Karen. I have fond memories of Charles’ Mom, Dad and family. I remember the day that Charles’ blind grandmother had catarac surgery and could see what I looked like after having known me for years. It makes my very sad that we will never reconnect on this Earth. It makes me very happy that my friendship with Charles and his family is still with me today as if it was yesterday. Godspeed, Charles.
