  1. Dear Horan Family: Many years ago, memories of little Charlie bring us to Descanso Street in Avalon where the Brent family lived. Dad Bob and little Charlie fished on the Horan\’s boat “After Five” almost daily. In the early mornings Bob and Charlie would stop in front of the Brent\’s house while Charlie loudly called, “Artie Boy!” “Artie Boy” became synonymous with good fishing and fun, and also became the name of several Brent boats. More recently the Brent family boats have been named “Sharette.” We cannot be at Charlie\’s services, but our memories and love will always be with him and the family. In Charlie\’s memory a donation has been made to the Avalon Municipal Hospital. With love and prayers, Art and Jeanette Brent Sheryle and Tom Fipp

  2. To the Horan Family, I am so sorry to read about Charley. I went to Cathedral Chapel School with Debbie and my brother Joe was in Charley\’s class. My family\’s prayers are for your families at your time of loss. Maureen Flanagan

  3. To Charlie who we will always remember, For so many years-10, 15 or more perhaps; our dinner at Mangi\’s was with a request for you as our server. It was with great sadness we learned of your passing. To you, your family and all that knew you; let us be reminded that “In dying we are born into eternal life” Rest in peace our friend. Tim & Susan Ottinger

  4. Dear Katy and Family, My deepest sympathy to you on the death of your son, Charley. Please know that my prayers are with you all through this very difficult time. Fondly, Kay Meihaus
