Tony Bennett passed away January 13, 2005 with his wife and six children at his bedside. He was a beloved husband to his wife Sylvia and a loving father to their children, Christine, Chuck, Catherine, Jim, Tom and Tricia and Grandfather to 9 grandchildren. Tony lived in Palos Verdes for 40 years where they raised their children. He was actively involved as a volunteer at St. John Fisher church as an usher, taught CCD and was on various other committees. He was also very involved as a volunteer with his children and their many soccer teams over the years. He had recently retired from Teledyne Controls after 43 years as Vice President. Tony and Sylvia moved to Redondo Beach 4 years ago and were parishioners of St. Lawrence Martyr. His memorial service will be Wednesday January 19, 2005 at St. Lawrence Martyr Church at 3:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Checks may be made payable to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and mailed to Chuck Bennett, PO Box 7000-420, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

  1. I was sorry to read in Thursdays PV News that Tony had died. I remember a great guy and father to the two boys I coached in soccer; Chuck and Jim. This is a great family and that has to be a tribute to both Tony and Sylvia. My prayers are with you in this moment of grief.
