Cescilia Sandra Abrenica Goodwick

Cescilia Sandra Abrenica Goodwick, known to many as Sandy, passed away at her home in Torrance, CA, on Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born on December 4, 1948, to Johanna (Friedmann) and Roque Abrenica and was a lifelong Torrance resident. She graduated from North High School in 1967 and El Camino College in 1969. She worked in the customer service industry for over 40 years, including positions at Indian Motor, Maersk, Crest Cassette, Viking, Office Depot, and most recently DHL. She married Kenneth Goodwick in 1979, and was a devoted mother to Joshua (Tara), Kristen (Tyrone), and Katie, and a loving Lola to Trysten, Kamryn, Kendall, and Jacey and was excited for the newest addition, Riley. Her favorite things included cooking, gardening, the beach, the universe, The Godfather, animals (especially cats), white zin, La Capilla restaurant, and playing Old Maid, War, dolls, and tea parties with her grandchildren. She was a unique lady who always put family first. Her sense of humor, loyalty, and straightforwardness will be deeply missed, but the impact she had on her family and friends will last forever. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
