It’s with much sadness that the family of Carolyn Lee Moebius (née Neff) announce her death on August 7, 2021. Carolyn was 89 years old at the time of her death. Born in Wichita, Kansas, in 1932, she lived the majority of her life in Palos Verdes the past sixty years.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Moebius, her sons Mark (Liz), Paul (Kathy), and Peter Moebius. She is also survived by her grandsons Ryan, Dane and Cole.
A founding member of the JKC, Carolyn was an accomplished tennis player, and when her spirit in tennis faded, she turned to golf as her passion for sport and the outdoors. As with all athletic endeavors, Carolyn excelled there too. As a graduate of the University of Kansas (KU), mom remained a devout Jayhawk throughout her life. Following Jayhawks basketball was one of Carolyn’s favorite passions.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her outward Kansas toughness, tempered by her gentile and loving nature. Our entire family shares some of Carolyn’s great traits, and her legacy will endure. We will miss our tough, loving Kansas farm girl greatly.
