Carol Ruth Crowell, 87, passed away peacefully, Monday November 7th, 2022 at Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
Carol was born September 17, 1935 in Fort Riley, Kansas, the daughter of John and Ruth (Sheldon) Kish. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1954.
If you knew Carol, you’d know she’d want this to be short and sweet. She was never one for being the center of attention, instead she preferred for those she loved to be celebrated and spoiled over. So here we go. To the woman who meant so much to so many people.
To know Carol was to know love, laughter and kindness. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and expressed her love in so many ways. She always put family and friends before herself and was always there when anyone needed anything. She loved to spend her days shopping for her three grandchildren, walking the Redondo Beach boardwalk looking for dolphins with her son, and getting manicures/pedicures with her daughter. She was a blessing to know and love. God truly gained the best of the best when Carol joined Him in her eternal home.
Carol is survived by her son Michael Peterson (Eileen Peterson).Three grandchildren; Christopher Runge, Nicole Peterson and Troy Peterson (Carly Peterson): Great granddaughter Joanna Peterson; Sibling; Fran Brown. Husband; Edward Crowell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cyndi Runge and siblings; John Kish, Neva King, Penny Flynn and Elly Allison.
Memorial services will be held for Carol on Sunday June 25, 2023 at the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.

Thanks for the many words of wisdom in my kitchen.
Thanks for providing some of our favorites in Mike, Eileen, Nicole and Troy
Such a warm, giving woman. She was always there for everyone. Her and our mom, Eileen and I, loved going to the pier for a glass of wine. They’re having a glass together now looking at the waves. Love you, Carol.
Carol, i will miss your smile on your walks back and forth to Starbucks and our funny conversations !! Such a sweet neighbor and lady! Rest In Peace my friend. Enjoy those waves and a glass🍷on me.
Thanks for your friendship
