Carol Ryan was born May 30, 1931 in New Jersey. She and her parents, Harry and Charles Kline, and brothers Harry and John and sister Eileen Kline (Ivers) later moved to California and eventually settled into the Los Angeles area. She attended St. Michael's Elementary School and Catholic Girls High (Conaty). She soon started work at Northrop Corporation and met Charles Ryan. They married and soon had seven children. Settling into the South Bay, Carol was an active homemaker for many years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Martyr Parish. She put her Catholic faith and family first. She always Let Go, Let God. She was a Pro-Life activist. For many years she has been a sacristan at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Hermosa Beach. She will be remembered for her commitment to always do the right thing, regardless of what others thought. She passed away on April 1st, 2008, surrounded by loved ones. She will be very missed by her seven children, Charles (Kathy), Mary, Joseph, Therese (Keith Rearick) Anne, Patrick (Becky) and John (Maria). She was also the cherished grandmother to Ryan, Emily, Sandra, Stephanie, Angelee, Christopher, Joseph, Ryan, Kevin, Casey, Paul, Stephen, Miriam, and Patrick. They will especially miss her unique approach to life. She will also be missed by her brother John, sister Eileen, cousin Lucia Jean Barton, Patricia Ryan and many other Ryan and Ivers extended family members. She leaves behind a community of friends who will also miss her dearly. Viewing (4- 8) with Rosary service at 7 P.M. will be held at McCormick Mortuary in Redondo Beach (1998 S. PCH) on Friday, April 4th. The Holy Mass funeral will take place on Saturday, April 5th at 9:00 A.M. at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance.
