Carmen Quesada Lopez, a life-long resident of Torrance, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019, in her home in Torrance. She was 95, just one day before her 96th birthday. Carmen is survived by daughter Marie Lamb (Chuck) of Manhattan Beach, son Thomas Lopez of Lakewood, son David Lopez of San Pedro; grandchildren Trisha Marcinko, Tommy Lopez, Tracey Parker and Chelsea Lamb; great-grandchildren Haylie and Brynn Parker and Abby Lopez; brothers Rudy Quesada, Val Quesada, sisters Rosie Lopez, Irene Mendez and Berta Abdon; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Paul and Rose Quesada, sister Alice Mungarro and brothers Paul and Sam Quesada; and her husband of 64 years Vincent Lopez. A gathering of family and friends for a visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Rice Mortuary, Torrance, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Service will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. Carmen will be laid to rest at Pacific Crest Cemetery. A reception follows at Rice Mortuary until 3:00 p.m.
