Mendoza, Carmen Colin a 83 year resident of the South Bay passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in Long Beach. Born in Los Angeles, July 24, 1921, Carmen was 83. Carmen was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Colin Munoz of Victorville; son, Pedro Colin (Suzanne) Mendoza of Norwalk; daughter, Esther Colin (Roy Smith) Hotmer of Lodi, CA; daughter, Martha Colin (Richard) Morrison of Long Beach; son, Albert Colin (Theresa) Mendoza of Victorville; son, Michael Colin Mendoza of Norwalk; daughter, Patricia Colin (Nick) Casillan of Long Beach; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; along with her sisters, Martha Colin Aguilar, Eleanor Colin Jimenez and brother, Joe Colin all of Redondo Beach. Her husband, Sotero and daughter, Catherine Colin Mendoza, preceded Carmen in death. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 19 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance with Rosary Services beginning at 7:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, September 20 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1225 5th Street in Hermosa Beach. Burial will follow with procession to Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City
