  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. I wish I could be there with you and your sons tomorrow, Carolyn. Love, Jane

  3. WE are praying for you and your family, Carolyn. We know that Carl is now out of pain and resting peacefully. Hugs to all of you.

  4. We will miss his kindness and sharing of medical informationwhich was vital to our job performance. We are all indebted to him for his service to our Department and will miss him dearly. To his beloved family members I wish to say we were truly blessed to have known him. Please accept my sincere condolences.

  5. Dear Carolyn, Chris, and Stephen, Jamie, Daryl, and I would like to express our condolences. Our memories of Carl go back to when Jamie and Chris were three years old. I will never forget Carl\’s gentle, kind, relaxed and patient nature. He was a “natural” at being a husband and father. I remember when Jamie begged to go to church service with you after spending the night at your house and your family gladly included him. I have found that I treasure my memories and wanted to share this with you. Love always, Bettie

  6. I am with you, Carolyn, Stephen, and Christopher, these days with my prayer and loving care. Mary Ellen

  7. WHILE I WAS REHABILITATION DIRECTOR AT LITTLE COMPANY OF MARY PAVILION FROM 1985 – 1996, DR. HEYN WAS THE ATTENDING PHYSIATRIST. HE HAD A VERY DIFFICULT JOB , AMONG MANY,OF DECIDING THE LENGTH OF STAY OUR PATIENTS WOULD BE AT THE PAVILION. HE ALWAYS REVIEWED THE PATIENTS THOROUGHLY AND NEVER MADE A DISCHARGE DECISION WITHOUT EMPATHY FOR THE PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. HE WAS RESPECTED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. I WAS ESPECIALLY MOVED BY HIS CONCERN FOR ME WHEN MY YOUNG HUSBAND DIED AT LCMH IN 1994 AND WILL NEVER FORGET HIS BIG BEAR HUG WHICH I DIDN\’T SEE TOO OFTEN. MY SYMPATHY GOES TO THE FAMILY.

  8. Carolyn, Chris, and Stephen – I\’m sorry I was not able to attend the service on Monday. I would have liked to have been there with you. I would like to express my condolences to you during this difficult time. I have some nice memories of Mr. Heyn. He was always very supportive when Chris and I were younger during our AYSO soccer days. I vividly remember him being at a number of games when Chris and I were on the same team many years ago. Those were some great times. ~Jamie
