  1. carl was a very dear friend of mine and a great inspiration in the ways of cool.some are made cool soom try to be cool and carl was born cool! he was my roomate in 1993. he will be in my heart and memories forever. I look forward to meeting him in heaven with our other friends. Carl thanks for being so cool 4 so long. Stay Golden Brother. Ilove you and will dearly miss you. Rick.

  2. Carl inspired me, he challenged me, he was there for me. Carl was what good friends are made of: he was loyal and I could always count on him. Like Carl\’s sister said, “He lived more in his 30 years than most people live in a lifetime.” I always appreciated that about Carl. I think Carl knew that he only had one life to live and he wanted to get as much out of that one life as he possibly could, and thats what he did. Another one of Carl\’s God given gifts was that he had so much style. I was always proud to say to people, “Yeah, I\’m with him.” We went to so many places and did so much cool and unique stuff togeter, as did everybody that hung out with you, but I will never forget the night at that church when you met Jesus and you helped to change eternity forever. Thanks for being real Carl. I love you bro, josh

  3. There is no one better. Carl touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be missed like no other. No regrets buddy.

  4. Charlie and Cheryl, My heart and thoughts go out to your family! Although I had not seen Carl in many years, I do have very fond memories of him!

  5. Trying to understand what has happened to such a dear person as my old roommate Carl (1996) is like trying to get oil from a water spout. He was an angel on earth and now I know that he is so many peoples angel in heaven. they say God only takes the best, and boy did he get a great one. Carl\’s life has and always will be such an inspiration to so many people. If I could build a stairway with all the tears that have been shed for him I would march right up to heaven and bring him back. My heart goes out to all who knew him and to all those that will never get the pleasure of meeting him even for one moment. A moment was all it took to realize his greatness. May God bless you Carl!!

  6. Claire, Cheryl and Charlie: My heart goes out to you all. I did not know Carl the way so many others had, but I know that he was such a very good person. Much too young to pass on. Remember the fond memories and keep them close to your hearts. Carl will be there listening. Take Care, and God Bless. With Love, Doreen

  9. I knew Carl for about six years, we were born two days apart so he truly felt like a brother to me. He affected me in so many ways because it is so rare to meet such a kind, loving, honest and genuine person. We spent many great times together and even when he moved back to California, I\’ll never forget how great I would feel after our phone conversations, always ending with;”I love you, bro.” I know I will never forget Carl and all the times we had. I would like to send much love to his family that I never got to meet, I know that he will be truly missed in so many ways. I love you Carl. Matt Tomasovich

  10. I have known Carl for more than 20 years and was shocked to hear what happened just last night 4/13/2003. I was very close friends with his sister, Cheryl, and have many fond memories of him. He was always such a happy go lucky guy and I cannot believe that he is gone. He was standing on my front porch just last year telling jokes and having a great time. My heart and deepest sympathies go out to Cheryl, Claire and Charlie. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that I am here for you if there is anything I can do. Always remember the good times and keep those memories close to your heart. Take care. Love, Ashlie Wells
