  1. May acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that his life was to us, and the pain that his passing brings. In sharing the joy let’s all forget all the questions we have of how he passed. Instead, let’s remember all the great memories he brought to each and every one of us. My brother, and I didn’t have many adult memories as our lives took us on different paths but what I do have is a huge memory bank of our childhood. See my brother was my first love aside of my mom of course. He took care of me and teased me, like a big brother would. I looked up to him so much. I remember when he first started playing soccer guess what I did? Yup I wanted to play soccer too. When he came home with a trumpet and joined the band guess what I did? Yup I wanted to play the trumpet too.He was my role model. I wanted to be just like him. At such a young age I didn’t identify that he was a boy and I was a girl, all I saw was a huge admiration for all his talents and I wanted to be just like him.He played soccer, he played in the band, he had great grades, and he was a great artist. Did I mention that he was a great dancer and he was funny too? He was full of charisma and joy. He was my first prime example of success and this is how I will remember him. No other way.
