  7. It has been many years since I did business with Bret and yet I will always remember how great it was to deal with him because he was such a regular guy which was so refreshing. In a crazy business full of crazy people it was great to work with someone who was so grounded. I remember how he enjoyed speaking of his children and their sports and other accomplishments. He loved his family which was another reason I respected him so much. So sad that he is gone and so grateful that I knew him.

  8. Dear Jenny and Family, If there ever was an individual that made working in the Entertainment Business enjoyable and tolerable, it was because of Bret. Business was discussed quickly and then the interesting topics came up, family, his children, his hobbies, and then we would exchange updates. Never once did I ever have a conversation with Bret that did not include the really important business in his life, his family. I will miss him greatly and my prayers go out to you and to your family. Sincerely, Howard Baral R.C. Baral & Company Inc.

  18. Dear Johnsons…I had the pleasure of working with Bret for many years at Universal Pictures. I just heard the sad news this weekend. He was a great man and I always will remember his enthusiasm and energy. Just walking into his office, you could feel that energy. He was professional and kind and though I haven’t seen or spoken with Bret in about 10 years, I will always fondly remember being in his company and sharing time with him. Please know that you are all very much in my thoughts and prayers. He was a great man. Take care of yourselves and, again, I am very very sorry for your loss. Sincerely and with regret, Paul Hardart
