Brenda-Mae Maile Smith of Torrance, California was born in Honolulu, Oahu on November 28, 1947. She was one of ten children born to Alfred and Kalani Castro. She graduated from Hana High School, Class of 1965. In 1967, she ventured to the state of Washington as part of the Job Corps. Shortly afterwards deciding to follow her heart, she married her high school class-mate and sweetheart Ronald Smith. They eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, and through this union gave to the world 3 wonderful children: Rhodda-Mae Kaleiula, Ronald Jr. and Kaipo. Though she joined the workforce; motherhood is a calling no woman, wife and mother could ever deny. As any woman could tell you this is like having 4 full-time jobs, so in an act of bravery she decided to take on the role as full-time homemaker. In her later years she was once again blessed and given Kawawa and Maile. On Thursday, August 19th, 2010 Brenda was called home. Thank-You for being a part of our lives. We all shared wonderful times. God called out to bring you home and although we are now parted, you will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We can all rest assured that you are happy without suffering, while now reunited with your mother, father, and brother. We know you'll watch over us from above. We Love You
