Beverly Ann Phillips, of Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away, June 2, 2012, at age 76. Born in Inglewood, CA, to Ella and Ariel Harrington, she was preceded in death by husband, Wayne Phillips. She attended Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and taught in Torrance for 37 years. She is survived by son, Jeff Phillips. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary on Thursday June 7, 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Rice Chapel on Friday June 8, 9:30 am. Reception to follow. Burial will be at Pacific Crest Cemetery.

Beverly was a wonderful person who will be missed greatly by my family. She touched our lives in so many ways and her memory will live on for many years to come.
I was blessed to have Beverly for a cousin. She was always always there to help her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Godspeed to our dear one.
I’m so sorry to learn on Beverly’s passing. I taught with her at Walteria and enjoyed my time with her. Her kindergarten students were “little buddies” with my class so we spent some fun times together. May good memories of Bev help you through this difficult time. she will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sad and sorry to learn of Beverly’s passing. She was a friend of the family’s for 50+ years, a fine teacher, and a gentle and kind woman. We all loved her.
