Betty was born in Houston, Texas May 12, 1932 to Booker T. Armstrong Sr. and Willie Lou Armstrong. Betty worked in the Post Office in Houston, Texas before moving to Los Angeles in 1961 where she studied Nursing, she retired as an LVN in 2000. Betty enjoyed bowling, playing cards, knitting, crossword puzzles, Sudoku and occasionally, every chance she got a slot machine (Penny). Her other loves were HSN & QVC, and everyday there was a delivery. Betty battled courageously against COPD & Lung Cancer and on August 21, 2011 with her son and daughter by her side, she left us. Betty is survived by her daughter Jan Scott, her son Gary Marshall, her sisters, Mildred Bearfield and Beverly Oliver, her granddaughters Savanna and Tatum Marshall, and her much loved son-in-law, Walter Scott along with a host of nieces and nephews.
