At approximately 16 years old Edwina and Betty moved to Chicago. At 18 years old Betty married Fred D. Lyle and out of this union came Camilla Lyle in 1958. Well, Miss Betty was not happy in Chicago and left there in 1967 to start a new life in Los Angeles. Betty worked at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for 35 years. She later met a widower Hermie Brown Jr. who had a daughter Michelle and three sons Hermie, Delbert and Courtney. The family merged on Nestor Avenue in Compton, California. Hermie passed away in 2012 after 44 years together. Betty continued to go to her favorite place Pechanga Casino and last traveled to Atlanta August of 2016.
