Bertha Ann Rizzo

Bertha A. Rizzo, 95, of Redondo Beach, passed away peacefully on Sept 2, 2011 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Hermosa Beach. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 28, 1916, Bertha moved to California in the late 1950's. She retired from Hughes Aircraft/ Hughes Helicopter but remained active with the retiree's group. She was also an active member of South Bay Kennel Club, serving as the organization's treasurer until March of this year. As everyone who knew Bertha can attest, she loved a good party, the horse races and her Chihuahuas. She was preceded in death by her only son, John, but leaves many friends. Services will be held at the Rice Chapel, the visitation Thursday evening, September 8, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm and the service Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11 am.
