Mrs. Beatrice (Bea) Mooney died August 14, 2007, she was 90. She was a 30 year resident of Manhattan Beach, moving to Redondo Beach in 2002. She was a past president and honorary member of the Neptunian Woman's Club of Manhattan Beach and a member of the Redondo Beach Woman's Club. She leaves a daughter; Mrs. Betsy Johnston of Torrance, a son Dennis McHugh of Atlanta, GA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Maud Wither Scholarship Fund in care of The Neptunian Woman's Club.

  1. Bea was a neigbhor of the Ibarras for 30 years, she has seen 5 children born and rasied. Bea always knew how to make the children happy, she would make her famous white choclate candy and surprise bars…to this day we still have no clue how they are made. The Ibarras would spend alot of time at here home. we would always come home with a new craft project and a new excitement. All of the Ibarra children are deeply saddened for this lost. Thank you for all the memories. Rosemary, Agustin, David, Victor and Justin.
