Barbara Ann Carr

Barbara Ann Carr May 25, 1940 - May 27, 2010 After thirteen years apart, Barbara Ann Carr was peacefully reunited with her husband, Jerry, on Thursday, May 27, 2010.For over forty years, Barbara ran medical meetings and continued medical education courses for the American Academy of Pediatrics Chapter 2, and the Los Angeles Pediatrics Society. Her social disposition, meticulous nature, and can-do attitude made her a favorite amongst the innumerable doctors, nurses, and various other medical personnel who were not only her colleagues, but also her dear friends. Barbara was also the recipient of numerous awards, plaques, and other forms of recognition for her amazing work for both businesses.Barbara was an avid reader, enjoying romance, fantasy, and history novels. She also loved watching Judge Judy and shopping. A phenomenal cook, Barbara was best known for her amazing pancakes, which nobody has been able to duplicate and never will! Barbara will be terribly missed by her five children, Heather (Rick) Lamson of Torrance, California, Brooke (Steve) Dobos of San Clemente, California, Kimberly Carr of Torrance, California, Frank (Elana) Carr of Torrance, California, and Jared (Krystal) Carr of St. George, Utah, her five grandchildren, Gage and Summer Dobos, Kaylee and Logan Carr, and Kobe Carr, and her beloved animals, Bubba, Billy Joe Bob, Ally, and Gibson. A celebration of Barbara's amazing life will be held privately for her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lomita Spay and Neuter.
