Audrey Lue Pike passed away from a brain hemorrhage on August 2, 2017 in Fullerton, California. Audrey is survived by her husband of 64 years (John), her three sons (John, Gary and Ron), her two daughters-in-law, (Susan and Rosie), her grandchildren (Melissa, David, Christine, Michelle, and Nicole), granddaughter-in- law (Karen), three grandsons-in-law (Travis, Davis, and Mike), 6 great-grandchildren (Lexie, Braden, Brody, Holden, Carter and two- month- old Jake) and her sister (Frances). Audrey was born on April 7, 1926, in Duluth, Minnesota, the youngest daughter of Arthur and Lydia Schletz. She had three sisters, Dorothy, Alice, and Frances, plus grandparents and many cousins. Audrey was brought up as a Christian and attended Duluth Gospel Tabernacle. She attended Denfeld High School and graduated in 1944. Audrey, her mother, sister Fran and brother-in-law Pat Lynch moved to California in June of 1951 and made Immanuel Christian Assembly their church home. Audrey enjoyed teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and often sang solos on the church broadcast. Audrey married her husband John Pike on June 19, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA. By 1960 they had three sons, John, Gary and Ron. Audrey was lovingly dedicated to her family and they were her greatest joy. A funeral is scheduled for Friday, August 11th, 10 am, at Rice Mortuary (5310 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA). A reception will follow immediately at 11 am. Her graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm at Pacific Crest Cemetery (2701 182nd street, Redondo Beach, CA). All are welcome to attend and celebrate.
