Ashwani Kumar Seth, loving husband, proud father, and dedicated grandfather, of Manhattan Beach, California, passed away on September 23, 2022 at the age of 81. Ashwani is survived by his devoted wife, Swarn Lata, his adoring children, Sidharth and Anjuli (Danny Koentopp), his two beautiful grandchildren, Maya and Kurt, as well as his sister Amrit (Shyam), brother Vijay (Seema), cousins, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ashwani was born in India, where he studied architecture and met his beautiful wife of 48 years. They married in 1974. He emigrated to California in 1969 where he would work and raise his family for the next 53 years, working as an architect and in real estate.
Ashwani had a passion for gardening and loved tending to his fruit trees and vegetables. He enjoyed walks on the beach and in his neighborhood, which he described as “the greatest city in the world.” He will be remembered for his empathy, generosity, and loyalty to others as well as the extreme pride he took in his family.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Pacific Crest Cemetery. Donations in Ashwani’s memory can be sent to Doctors Without Borders, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, or Parkinson’s Foundation.
