It is with great sadness that the family of Antonio (Tony) G Lopez announce his passing after an extended illness, on March 19, 2020 at the age of 94. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Amelia (Helen) and his five daughters, Amelia (Amy), Yolanda (Yoli), Susanna (Susie), Elizabeth (Angel), Esperanza (Espe). Tony will also be fondly remembered by his twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-three Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. He will also be remembered by his sister Ramona and brother-in-law Alberto Torres and family. Tony was predeceased by his two sons, Augustine (Ernie) and Lawrence (Larry). Tony came to the United States at the age of 17 from Zacatecas, Mexico. He joined the “Bracerro Program” during WWII in 1942 which brought him to the US. He was assigned to work in US Agriculture here in the South Bay. He worked many jobs in Redondo Beach and eventually worked in the Dairy Industry and retired after 30 years. He purchased a home in Redondo Beach in 1951 and lived there happily with his wife and children. In 2008 Tony became a US Citizen. He was beloved by all and lived a very blessed and extremely happy life. Due to the current pandemic restrictions a memorial service is not possible at this time
