Antonia Heredia ( 1925- 2011) A long time resident of the South Bay, passed away Wednesday February 9, 2011 in Torrance. Born in Zacapu, Mexico, August 8, 1925, to Rafael and Carmen Aguilar. She spent her childhood and part of her young adult life in Mexico where she meet her lifetime love at age 12 and was married at age 16. They were married 70 yrs - a lifetime of joy and happiness. She is survived by her husband Ramon Heredia and 11 children Antonio Heredia, Raul Heredia, Salud Lopez, Juanita Flores, Socorro Dunkerley, Ramon Heredia, Rosa Bravo, Jose (Pepe) Heredia, Guadalupe Stack, Lourdes Heredia, Gabriela Lopez, 28 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren and her brother Rafael Aguilar. She moved to Redondo Beach in 1960 and left an everlasting impact in her family’s life. She was the center of her family circle and a caregiver to many that needed a home to stay. A rosary service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 7:00pm at Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA 90503. The funeral Mass will be held February 18, 2011 2:00pm at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church 320 Massey St, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.

  3. I remember “Tia Tonia” as a loving, patient and caring person. I am sure my mother (Tia Ticha) was one of the persons that was there to greet her as she arrived to the heavens above to be with the Lord.
