  1. I first met this amazing, graceful woman while working at Lomita Sheriff’s Station between 2008-2011 as a student worker. Not only did she embrace me as a co-worker, but she took me under her wing and helped me learn the ropes. We had a very difficult supervisor and Ms. Anne, as she was affectionately known, never let it show if she was affected. She tried to help me learn to be graceful, even when met with difficult people and personalities. She was kind, thoughtful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. What makes my story especially unique is the fact that most of the work Ms. Anne performed, was later sent to my mom who worked for another unit of the Sheriff’s department. Ms. Anne and my mom had many conversations of which Ms. Anne spoke very highly of me. As a parent it was wonderful to hear I’m sure, but as a daughter, it was nice to know my mom had raised me right. Her generosity and kind hearted nature will always be missed.
