Anna Mary Weidhaas, 89, of Phoenix, AZ., passed away on January 9, 2007 due to complications from a stroke. She was born to Michael and Stella Kendzierski on March 5, 1917 in Williamsbridge, NY., a daughter of Russian immigrants. She was the second youngest of ten children, the last to pass away. Anna moved from Williamsbridge to Holyoke, MA and was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft during WW II. It was there she met and married her devoted husband Edward Fredrick Weidhaas. They had two sons, Fred and Mark Weidhaas. She is survived by her son Mark Weidhaas and loving granddaughters Hanna Rose and Emily Jean Weidhaas. She was the past president of the Woman's Council at St James Catholic Church for many years. She was also a 35+ year member of the Catholic Daughter's of America. She will be missed by all the lives she touched. Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 from the Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA., 90277, (310) 792-7575. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 10am at Saint Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church, 1900 South Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach, CA. 90277, (310) 540-0329. There will be a reception at Colonial Mortuary immediately following the funeral mass.
