February 2, 1978 ~ April 19, 2023

Born in: Redondo Beach, California
Resided in: Torrance, California

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Angel Perez, our loving and devoted son, brother, father, husband and friend to all whose lives he touched. On April 19, 2023, he left us while battling the biggest fight of his life at Kaiser hospital in Harbor City, California. He was in his 45th year and was the second youngest of four children.

Angel was born in Torrance, California in February of 1978 to Christine Perez. He remained a native of the South Bay area. Angel married his wife Jaime Lockhart after 17 years in Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 2013. During their 27 years together, they raised three children and welcomed three nephews and two nieces.

A life-long committed, diligent, driven worker in retail, Angel worked for Target, Home Depot, JCPenney and Lowe’s over the span of 28 years. Each day after work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to a vast collection of music, grilling and making food for his family. Other hobbies included a passion for cars, traveling, visiting the beach, and an avid food connoisseur in finding unique restaurant spots that served great food. Many summers were spent taking his family on trips.

Angel’s talents were many with a thirst for knowledge, collection of tools as he could fix just about anything but mostly being there whenever someone was in need. Angel’s personality was larger than life, who could light up any room with his infectious smile, big laughter, funniest character, fearless attitude, extremely generous heart who always loved unconditionally, genuinely happy soul and always put others first, “to know him was to love him, he was a loyal friend for life”.

Angel is survived by his wife Jaime, children Selena Bryson (Cody), Alex Perez 19, and Anthony Perez 16, his mother Christine Perez, sister Angelina Fonseca (Hector), sister Susana Pompa, brother Robert Fata (Liz), nephews Nicholas and Benjamin Fonseca, Mateo Fata, and nieces Alyssa and Alexis Fonseca, He was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Lupe Perez of Redondo Beach, California.

In Memory Of A Loved One

To lose someone I loved so much brings pain beyond belief

There are no words to ease my pain my sadness and my grief

I feel I’ve lost someone so close so wonderful and dear

I think about your special ways and wish that you were near

But although you have left this world you’ll stay within my heart

Guiding like an angel even though we are apart

For love is everlasting and so are my memories

Your legacy that’s always there to light the way for me

“NO EYE HAS SEEN, NO EAR HAS HEARD, AND NO MIND HAS IMAGINED WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.” 1 CORINTHIANS 2:9

Thank You… WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW DEEPLY WE APPRECIATE ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT SHOWN TO OUR FAMILY DURING THIS MOST DIFFICULT TIME. WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL AND WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR KINDNESS. The Perez Family
