Andre E. Rouseyrol Born December 15, 1931 at St. Vincent Hospital, Los Angeles, passed away Friday, December 8, 2006 at his home in Westchester, CA. Beloved husband to Barbara, son of the late Fernand and Louise Rouseyrol, sister Margot Konzen (Robert), brother in law James A. Gilmore (Elinor), nephews Andrew Bradley (Sharon) and Dr. James Bradley (Daphne) and many nieces and nephews in U.S.A. and Canada. Andre's life interest was automobiles be it racing his B/A Roadster with his partner John Gill (deceased) or attending various drag or motorcycle races. Andre was a member of the Navel Air Reserve. When his was on active duty, Andre felt it a great honor to be the Chief Mechanic for Commander Hatton's airplane at Los Alamitos Naval Air Base. Contracting Poliomyelitis in October 1951 did not slow Andre down from using his knowledge of automobile engines. For 26 years Andre was the technical advisor for Ed Iskenderian Racing Cams in Gardena, California. He retired due to failing health to spend his remaining years enjoying his home with his wife Barbara, his pets (now Tia) and his many friends. Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 18, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. at the Church of the Visitation, Westchester, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Andre's memory to: Guide Dogs of America, 13445 Glenoaks Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342, Attn: Kim or Canine Champions for Independence, P.O. Box 4568, Oceanside, CA 92052 Attn: Linda Vallianti. Andre was a true inspiration for all who met him with his love of life even though he spent 55 years confined to a wheelchair, He will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years and his many friends.
