Lorentz, Amor Alvin Passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2003. He was born on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA on April 16, 1926, where he resided until entering the Navy during WWII. Upon discharge, he settled in Los Angeles where he married, raised a family, and eventually died. Amor worked for Hughes Aircraft and Hughes Space Systems for 37 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha; two children, Madelon Lorentz Petersen and Paul Lorentz (wife Albena); one grandson, Jeffery Petersen (wife Ann Marie); three great-grandchildren, Bailey Amato, Jack Petersen and Lillian Petersen; sisters Gloria Pavuk (husband Peter) and Olive Reville; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Many of his family gathered in Texas last year for a reunion, and we are grateful for the time we were able to spend together. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
