Early Monday morning, Ambrosio Magdaleno, passed away at the age of 61. He was born on December 7, 1945 in Jalisco, Mexico. He was a resident of the South Bay for over forty years, where he started his thriving landscape business, "Ambros Tree Service" over thirty years ago. Ambros, as he was known to friends was a proud, loving father to five girls. Dad was also the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren; Troy & Demi Franklin, Austin Cook, Matthew, Madison, & Marissa Doty, & Gavin Madrigal. He was a funny, full of life, and fantastic man. He always arrived with a smile and a story to tell. He enjoyed dancing, going for early morning runs and just loving life and all its pleasures. His life was filled with many trials yet he always persevered and continued to stay positive and grateful. He prayed daily and always gave thanks to God. He is survived by his five daughters; Rosaura Cook, Lucy Doty (Brian), Silvia Magdaleno, Daisy Patricia Magdaleno, & Juli Magdaleno. Papi te queremos mucho mucho y vamos estranarte siempre. A gathering of family & friends will be held at White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach on Thursday October 18, 2007 from 5 to 8pm with a vigil at 7pm. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hermosa Beach on Friday at 10am. A reception will follow at the White & Day Manhattan Lighthouse Reception Room.
