  1. I worked for a time with Alec at Computax and also knew him as a softball adversary of my husband and his brothers. He will be missed, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Marty & Anna Carreon

  2. All Cap’n Alec’s divers are heartbroken at this loss. So many of us absolutely adored him. We became his fans and then his friends on our many trips on the Island Diver, with Alec expertly guiding us to interesting wrecks and gaining us freezers full of lobsters, laughing with us on our surface intervals, and above all ensuring we always came home safe and smiling. After a while, it didn’t so much matter where we were diving; it was just fun to be along on the trip. Over the past few years, Alec showed the strength of his character again and again. We were so grateful that he was surrounded by the love of his wonderful family, who have been and will remain in all our thoughts and prayers. I will so miss his warm smile and wry humor, and I will think of him often at the places where we shared so many happy times.

  3. Carol and Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Alex was a wonderful guy. I went to school with him and have fond memories. I have also seen him over the years at my sister and brother in-laws house (Steve and Connie Brodine). He will be greatly missed. Sincerely, Sharon Correa

  4. I played softball with Alec for many years on the Killian’s team in Redondo Beach. He was a gentle giant off the field and a great competitor on the field. You will be missed Alec. RIP Big Guy!

  5. Alec was a good friend that I only just recently met(18 mths ago), but his faith in God gave me a kind of serenity- a calmness to my life. He always had something positive to say and gave encouragement for others. He is at peace now-no pain-and will be missed by all those he touched. My prayers go out to the family (Tim, my friend-is a rock for others) and to Carol, who has showed great strength and courage during these trying times, remember that you are never alone as long as we keep our faith alive.

  6. Iam sp glad I was able to spend a week with Carol and Alec in August and get to know Alec. I really enjoyed getting to know him. Love you both Love Patti
