Ferris, Albert R. a 60 year resident of Hermosa Beach, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2002 in Torrance. Born in Missouri, Albert was 100 when he died. He was preceded in death by his wife Avonelle. Albert had served in the Army during World War I and he was a member of the Redondo Beach Masonic Lodge #328. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion in Nebraska. Mr. Ferris is survived by a son, Bert (Beth) Ferris of Torrance; 2 grandchildren: Deborah Hornick and Linda Jones; and 4 great grandchildren: Sean Jones, Julie Jones, Megan Hornick and Devin Hornick; Two sisters, Nell Carter and Ruth Freeland , both of Camarillo, CA. Also a brother, Dr. John Ferris of Rancho Bernardo. Private Graveside funeral services will be held at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
