Holguin, Albert, a 45-year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Torrance. Born in El Paso, Texas, Albert was 80 when he died. Albert had served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena. He is survived by his Daughter, Grace (Arthur) Candelaria of Downey, CA; Daughter, Sylvia (Luis) Lizarraga of Gardena, CA; Daughter, Mary Alice (Tony) Orosco of Downey, CA; Daughter, Becky (David) Romero of Gardena, CA; Brothers Alfonso and Arturo Holguin; Sister Terry Rivera; and 7 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Albert and Trinidad Holguin, Brother, Alfred Holguin; Sister, Eva Campoy; and his Wife of 45 years, Esperanza "Hope" Holguin. A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 7 to 10pm, with a Vigil beginning at 7pm. The Service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena on Thursday at 10am. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. The family will host a Reception at the Elks Lodge in Gardena after the graveside service.
